Thomas Slaten is a Senior from Celebration, FL studying Data Science and Economics, with a minor in actuarial science and certificate in Artificial Intelligence. He’s loved MUN since joining Freshman year at UF, and served as USG of Finance at last year’s GatorMUN XXI. Outside of MUN, he’s the President of the Gator Chess Club, Director of the UF Honors-Day Retreat, and is a volunteer chess coach at the Oak Hall School. In his free time, you’ll find Thomas playing chess, obsessively rewatching Studio Ghibli films, and failing to have the hand-eye coordination necessary to play the drums. “Trey” is very excited to meet y’all at GatorMUN XXII!

Bridget Craig is in her fourth year at UF and is studying International Studies with a concentration in Latin America and The Caribbean, with minors in Dance, Spanish, and Sustainability Studies. Ever since joining MUN her first year, she has fallen in love with it and was GatorMUN XXI’s USG of Logistics. Outside of MUN, Bridget loves to hike, go to the beach, read, and meet new people. She is very involved on campus as she is the Vice President of her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, a Language Assistant at the UF English Language Institute, and is always looking for service and volunteer projects to help the wider Gainesville community. Bridget is so excited to see you all at GatorMUN XXII!

Surya is a third-year student at the University of Florida, double majoring in Political Science and International Studies on the pre-law track. She has been passionate about Model UN since her freshman year of high school, competing in and staffing over 25 conferences. At UF, Surya is an active member of the Florida Cicerones, the official student ambassadors, and Phi Alpha Delta, the largest pre-law fraternity on campus. Michel Jijon is in his third year at UF and is pursuing a dual major in political science and music. He was SunMUN II’s USG of Advisor Relations and a GatorMUN XXI director. He joined MUN during his freshman and has been wreaking chaotic neutral havoc throughout the circuit since then. Michel also loves to participate in many non-MUN activities such as hiking, watching movies, playing board games, and studying in as many libraries as he can! Many will describe him as a workaholic but he will simply call himself bored. He is constantly looking for ways to keep himself busy and has decided becoming GatorMUN XXII’s Chief of Staff is the perfect job. Michel is excited to ensure that GatorMUN XXII is as perfect as can be!

Eric Han is a sophomore studying criminology on the pre-law track. He is originally from Lexington Massachusetts and moved to Orlando Florida this year! This is Eric’s first year on the GatorMun secretariat. If you have any questions on hotel, schedule, committee rooms, and all things logistics, he’s the guy to look for! Eric is a singer and an artist outside UFMUN, and he is also involved in FLIPA and FULR. Crowned Mr Congeniality of 2024, Eric can’t wait to see everyone debating away!

Helena Panuthos is a third-year student at the University of Florida majoring in biology and minoring in economics. She participated in MUN throughout high school, with GatorMUN being her favorite conference. In her free time, she likes to play basketball, hang with friends, and attend concerts. She continues her MUN journey in college and is very excited to be a part of GatorMUN secretariat!

Arielle Watts (she/her) is a junior at the University of Florida’s Nursing Program. She has been doing MUN since her sophomore year at Cypress Lake High School. This is her second year in UFMUN and she has mostly done General Assembly for her entire MUN career. She was a director in the WHO committee at the previous iteration of GatorMun. In addition to Model United Nations, she loves theater, softball, butterfly conservation, and crocheting. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and is very passionate about medicine, particularly in the labor and delivery specialty. She is on the executive board for Nurses Leading Change and devotes her remaining free time to organizing information sessions about different health practices.

Bryce Ramos is a fourth year Statistics major here at UF and has been a part of UF Model UN for the last two years. After staffing and then directing the Press Corps committees at the previous two GatorMUN conferences, Bryce is excited to be your USG of Specialized Committees for GatorMUN XXII. When he’s not studying or doing MUN, Bryce is either watching or reading about sports, doing improv, or working on a new recipe.

Joel Woeste is a junior at the University of Florida, majoring in Computer Science and Economics. This year, Joel serves as the Under Secretary General of Media for GatorMun XXII, where he manages all media-related content before and during the conference. Over the summer, he interned with the US Forestry Service in Montana, where he modeled statistical regressions for fire data. In addition to his role at GatorMun, Joel is also the Secretary of the UF Archery Club. As the USG of Media, he aims to ensure a fantastic GatorMun weekend and keep everyone informed with the latest updates. He looks forward to seeing everyone at GatorMun XXII!
