The Model United Nations Club at the University of Florida is pleased to bring you the twenty-first annual Gator Model United Nations conference!

Our conference provides a learning experience unlike any other by breaking from the traditional classroom setting to transform high school students into experts on pressing international issues. For the weekend, students become delegates in important international forums addressing complex global issues such as preventing the spread of diseases, defending human rights, and upholding justice in the international system.

GatorMUN is staffed by college student volunteers, primarily from the University of Florida. Some of them have been doing MUN for years, some just started MUN a few months ago, and some do not participate in MUN outside of GatorMUN. However, all of them staff this conference because they have a great time while simultaneously helping to grow a new generation of leaders and thinkers. Our staffers are who make this conference happen!

GatorMUN offers three kinds of committees: traditional General Assembly committees simulating a body of the United Nations; Specialized committees simulating a diverse set of deliberative bodies including national legislatures, corporate boards of directors, political campaigns, and more; and Crisis committees, also simulating some deliberative body or community, but with added elements of time progression and real-time interaction with the outside environment, allowing for great creativity and agency, while demanding quick thinking and clever maneuvering.
