Clara Roman is a second year Environmental Engineering student with plans to minor in Spanish and Choral Music. She’s passionate about the intersection of sustainability in the environment and engineering as a whole, hence her major. Clara is Puerto Rican from Saint Augustine Florida but has also spent time in Virginia, Germany, and Kansas. In her free time, she enjoys making 3d crafts, playing Mario Kart and Tetris, reading, and acting as a makeshift nail artist for her friends. She also of course has a deep love for all insects alike. From flipping rocks to find any and all arthropods (insects, arachnids, crustacean, myriapods), to traversing side walks after a rainy day to save stranded wiggling worms, bugs have always had a place in her heart. She hopes to share her knowledge and love for these animals in her committee this upcoming Model UN season. This will be her second year in Model United Nations and Clara has previously had the privilege of competing nationally within the UF team. It has only confirmed the love she has for MUN as a whole and she can’t wait to give all the delegates competing under her the same reassurance that they are where they’re meant to be.
