The American Civil Rights Movement Director: Lindsey Mosley
The American Civil Rights Movement was one of the most important periods in American history and is still very relevant to events that occur even today. The people who participated in the movement were extremely diverse, just as their ideas and ideologies were. Often there was only one thing that they all had in common: the goal of equality. Even with a shared goal, each person had their own ideas about how it should be achieved; the tactics that were used in this struggle were unique and distinct, some never seen before this time. This committee will have to overcome individual differences in order to unite and become a stronger force as it attempts to battle the vast racial injustices of the 1960s.
