Nasa Board of Directors
|
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is America’s civil space program and is at the forefront of global space exploration. From its founding in 1958, NASA has worked globally as the foundation for human spaceflight, space exploration, and development and application of technology for research, both in space, of space, and on and off Earth. Notable missions include the Apollo missions, Skylab, and the Space Shuttle. Additionally, NASA oversees the International Space Station and the functions of the Orion Spacecraft, Space Launch System, and Commercial Crew Vehicles. As an agency, NASA is headed by the NASA Administrator, who in turn delegates to a board of directors, ranging from mission directors to financial officers to small business partners. As this board, it is your job to continue the functions of NASA on a day to day basis, while also continuing research into ongoing projects, navigating international affairs and partnerships, discussing funding, negotiating privatization, and making sure everything is prepared for launch day. In assuming these roles, you take a step into the exploration of our universe by laying the foundation for successful missions. Only in doing so will research, development, understanding, and cooperation in and of our solar system and beyond, continue.
