Secretary-General: Cameron Taylor

Cameron is currently a junior at the University of Florida and is pursuing a dual degree in Telecommunications-News and Political Science, with a concentration in Public Policy. He has been a part of Model UN for nearly five years, which includes his time as a high school delegate. Cameron has traveled to several conferences with the UF Model UN team including SRMUN in Atlanta, VICS in Charlottesville, and FMUN in Gainesville. He has served on GatorMUN staff and Secretariat as the Assistant Director for the Grand Pirate Council for GatorMUN VII, Director for the NGO Summit and the 

Chargé d’Affairs for GatorMUN VIII. 

Cameron is honored to serve as the Secretary-General for GatorMUN IX and is thrilled to work with a great Secretariat. Some of his hobbies and interests include traveling, current events, politics, and music. He hopes to one day be an anchor for a major television news network and focus on politics. Cameron looks forward to contributing his experience and passion to make GatorMUN IX a memorable experience for all.


Undersecretary-General of Logistics: Elizabeth Valentino

Lizzy is a senior at the University of Florida, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Classical Studies. She has been an active member of the University of Florida's Model United Nations team since the beginning of the 2008-2009 academic year.  Lizzy has represented the UF MUN team at many conferences including: SRMUN, VICS, and FMUN.  Additionally, she was a staff member at GatorMUN VI, as home government for the General Assembly Third Committee, and served on the secretariat as Chief of Staff for GatorMUN VII and GatorMUN VIII.



Undersecretary-General of Assembly Commmittees: Kelsey Harclerode

Kelsey Harclerode is a senior at the University of Florida and is pursuing a Political Science major with a Women's Studies minor and a certificate in International Relations. She hails from Cape Coral and has been an active member of Model UN since her freshman year in high school. She has previously served as the Assistant Director for the UNDP at GatorMUN VII and the Director for the AU at GatorMUN VIII. After interning for Senator Nelson and then serving as Staff Assistant for Senator LeMieux, she is incredibly excited to experience an alternate side of politics while interning for a lobbyist firm in DC this summer! When she is not exploring her love for politics or reading articles for her classes that seem to never end, she highly enjoys watching 30 Rock and riding her new bike named after the amazing suffragist, Sarah Grimke. Due to the excellent caliber of her fellow Secretariat members and the entire GatorMUN IX staff, she is confident that this will be the most enjoyable and enriching GatorMUN ever! 

 

Undersecretary-General of Crisis Committees: Chelsea Hamati

Chelsea Hamati is a returning member of the Secretariat, previously holding the Director of Public Relations position in GatorMUN VII, and is excited to oversee the development of the crisis committees. She is fourth-year Political Science major at UF with minors in Spanish and Business and a concentration in International Relations. Chelsea has participated in MUN since her freshman year in college and has directed crisis committees at GatorMUN and KnightMUN, including the Colombian Council from GatorMUN VIII. Last year Chelsea studied business and politics while studying abroad in Spain, and is scheduled to intern at the UNDP in Panama this summer. Chelsea hopes to either go to graduate school or law school in Washington DC.


Undersecretary-General of Finance: Tyler Kaub 

Tyler is a third year Materials Science and Engineering student at the University of Florida, with a minor in Business Administration.  He has been involved in Model UN since his freshman year of high school and has attended over 25 conferences.  Tyler is looking forward to serving as the Undersecretary-General of Finance for GatorMUN IX, after serving as the Director for the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space at GatorMUN VIII and the Assistant director of UNEP at GatorMUN VII.  In his free time, he enjoys going sailing and playing tennis.  Tyler is looking forward to working with the Secretariat to create the best GatorMUN ever. 


Undersecretary-General of Public Relations: Christian Garciga

Christian is a junior at the University of Florida pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Economics; a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations; and a minor in Latin American Studies. He joined UF Model UN at the beginning of his sophomore year and has attended several conferences as a delegate, including NCSC XXXVIII in Washington D.C. and HNMUN 2011 in Boston, in addition to serving as Assistant Director for the World Health Organization committee of GatorMUN VIII. As Undersecretary-General of Public Relations for GatorMUN IX, Christian is excited to be working alongside such a fantastic Secretariat, and hopes to further GatorMUN’s tradition of excellence as it reaches its ninth iteration.
