Jefferson Davis’ Confederate States of America Cabinet Directors: Kayley Erickson
In 1861 the political landscape of the United States was forever altered by the secession of a confederation of Southern states known as the Confederate States of America. These states established their own governing body guided by a constitution and president, Jefferson Davis. The Confederacy championed states rights, slave ownership, and looked for legitimacy abroad as a separate nation. Ultimately this pursuit for Southern independence escalated into the deadliest war in American history, the Civil War. Davis and his cabinet are tasked with the near impossible mission of leading the Confederate States to defeat the North, and preventing the collapse of the Confederacy during the onslaught of domestic issues plaguing the South. Here, delegates will have the thrilling opportunity to rewrite history and attempt to secure a Confederate victory and avoid the errors of Davis' historical government to secure a prosperous future for the South. Utilizing their unique positions, personal histories, and connections, delegates will act as Davis' cabinet members and most trusted advisors taking on a series of formidable challenges that threaten the well-being of the Confederacy.
