Future of Independent Quebec, 2023 Director: Zola Hoehn
It is 2023 and through a third and finally successful referendum, Québec has become an independent state. After previous attempts, the culturally separate, French speaking region of Québec has broken away from Canada, establishing their own state. With increasing debt of the region, mounting economic issues, and social tensions greatly increased, delegates representing the government of Québec must determine how to best aid their state to survive. Québec must deal with the implications of their newly gained independence within Canada and it’s populations, the vast economic issues and political decisions that face a newly created state. Delegates must deal with the varying issues facing Québec leading to a hopefully successful, thriving state. Je me souviens, toujours pour le Québec.
