The economic and social council (ECOSOC) DIRECTOR: Kaitlyn stroud
This committee takes place during the cold war. With many nations fighting over territory the threat of nuclear missiles and mutually assured destruction is in the limelight. However, this battle was not one simply fought on the ground. Delegates will be expected to act as their respective country and fight the ideological battles of the cold war in the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). By recognizing or choosing to ignore laws pertaining to the right to democracy, security, and even violence delegates will formulate the basis for the Universal Bill of Human Rights, leading to profound effects on the international community as a whole.
