Voice of the Arabs: Egypt’s Revolutionary Command Council, 1952-1957 Director: MAKIYA SEMINERA
The road to Egypt's ascension as the leader of the Arab World was not easy — marked by revolution, betrayal, and blood. After overthrowing King Farouk in the 1952 Egyptian Revolution, the newly formed Revolutionary Command Council must take on numerous new responsibilities: namely running an entire country. As a member of the Revolutionary Command Council, delegates will be tasked with restructuring the Egyptian government, as well as negotiating domestic and foreign issues. The Revolutionary Command Council will also be given the duty of resolving a power struggle between two of the most prominent Egyptian politicians of the time — Mohammed Naguib and Gamal Abdel Nasser.
Will the Revolutionary Command Council help lead the nation of Egypt to the greatness it is destined for or will push the country deeper into an insurmountable state of chaos?
