59th Cabinet of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Director: Jayson Faulds
Aside from being one of the biggest and most ethnically diverse countries in Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is also a major geopolitical focal point, containing a considerable amount of natural resources. These resources, along with the land, have attracted the attention of many interest groups who are constantly vying for control, which has hindered the development of the DRC. For decades, the country has been at a state of war, and accompanied with its ailing economy, restless population, and food shortages, the state of the DRC has truly coalesced into what can be considered a “perfect storm.” Will the great nation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo finally realize its full potential, or will it collapse to the point of no return? The delegates of this committee will take on the roles of major government officials, and work together to enact creative solutions to finally bring peace to the DRC.
